Evolution of Integral Consciousness

At this point in our collective journey, psychology professionals might benefit from the psychospiritual context informed by Integral Psychology because, just as the challenging dilemmas of our time, it asks us to consider a broader vision of ourselves. Rather than psychological health being the only outcome we are interested in, we acknowledge it as a crucial, but small part of the evolution of consciousness needed to navigate these difficult times. When we focus only on the mental and emotional aspects of consciousness, we limit our opportunity to tap into vast spiritual capacities and integrate our deepest wisdom. By considering psychospiritual development and interconnectedness of spirit, mind, and body, we expand our ability to reach our most profound potential as human beings and, from this expansive consciousness, create new ways to participate in our individual and collective healing and evolution.

Main Principle of Integral Psychology

Integral Psychology focuses on psychospiritual development and transformation, as well as integration toward wholeness, as its central objective. Inspired by Haridas Chaudhuri, Integral Psychology is founded upon the experience of the integral self as the harmonious and indivisible unity of uniqueness, relatedness, and transcendence.

  • Uniqueness

Each individual is a result of a unique set of qualities and characteristics and there is a unique path of development, growth, evolution, and unfoldment for each being.

  • Relatedness

It is not possible to understand the human being in terms of individuality alone. Relatedness with all other beings, the earth, and the universe is of equal importance.

  • Transcendence

Transcendence refers to an embodied spiritual awakening by being in union with our Infinite nature and using spiritual awareness to transform limitations and conditioning.
